GM 4.8L V8 Gasoline

Home » GM 4.8L V8 Gasoline

GM’s L20 4.8L Gen IV Vortec V8 engine is the entry level OEM engineered solution from Powertrain IntegrationTM, but it lacks none of the rugged durability for which its bigger siblings are known.

The L20 runs on gasoline and is E85 compatible. A strong performer, it sacrifices nothing to provide smooth and quiet operation. Unlike most consumer product engines, the GM 4.8L V8 L20 is dynamometer emissions certified, greatly reducing overall vehicle emissions certification cost.

The GM 4.8L L20 pairs well with any of several GM Hydra-Matic automatic transmissions.

Powertrain Integration engineering and sales staff are dedicated finding customer the right combination using this popular and proven duo.
